My Research Bookshelves have among the encyclopedias, dictionaries, and reference books a collection of National Geographic Magazines from the years 1963 to 2000 inclusive, all orderly in their handsome slip cases. These are a great writing resource for, besides great pictures, maps, and articles about the natural world, they include in-depth articles dealing with historical events and people.
