Raymond Carver 1938-1988

Oregon-born Carver moved to California where he began writing: poetry, essays, and the short stories for which he is mainly remembered. He died at his home in Port Angeles, Washington, where he spent the last ten years of his life. Noted as being a minimalist in both prose and poetry, he won many awards for both.
